We are pleased to announce the release of Cisco Packet Tracer (PT) 6.1, which includes fixes to many bugs reported by the community and provides the following new protocol support and enhanced functionality:
- ASA5505 device support
- Enhanced NetFlow support
- Enhanced OSPF, OSPFv3, EIGRP, and EIGRPv6 support
In addition, Packet Tracer 6.1 offers two different versions: an instructor version and a student version. The student version does not include the Activity Wizard, which allows you to create new activities.
IMPORTANT: To determine exactly when and how you should upgrade your lab and student computers to the PT 6.1 release, please review the Cisco Packet Tracer 6.1: Important Information About Upgrading document. Some course versions do not support PT 6.1, and others require installing PT 6.1 after a specified date..
