All NetAcad students using the student version of Cisco Packet Tracer (PT) 6.1 should upgrade to PT 6.1.1 as soon as possible. Version 6.1.1 contains an important fix to a bug and helps ensure the correct scoring of Packet Tracer Skills Assessments (PTSAs) in the CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum.

Bug Fix in Packet Tracer Student Version 6.1.1

The PTSAs in CCNA Routing and Switching (R&S) courses use variables to present different scenarios each time a student launches the exam. In the student version of PT 6.1, the student’s work is captured and based on one scenario. However, when the exam is scored, version 6.1 uses a scenario that results in a score of zero. This issue has been fixed in PT version 6.1.1.

To download the student version of PT 6.1.1, log in to Cisco NetSpace, select Offerings > CCNA, and then click Learn more about Cisco Packet Tracer. You will be directed to the Packet Tracer Resources page. Click the resources folder at the bottom to access and download the software package.

For more general information about Packet Tracer, please review the Packet Tracer 6.1 FAQs and other resources available in the same folder.
