Peter Palúch získal titul Cisco Designated VIP 2012 WAN & LAN

Lektor žilinského ITC Peter Palúch, držite¾ titulu Cisco Designated VIP 2011 WAN & LAN Switching and Routing, je ocenený týmto titulom i pre rok 2012, a to opä v dvoch sekciách: WAN a LAN. Peter je držite¾om tohto titulu nepretržite od 10. novembra 2010, kedy bola kategória ocenení Designated VIP oficiálne zavedená.

Titul Cisco Designated VIP sa každoroène ude¾uje sieovým špecialistom pôsobiacim na diskusnom fóre Cisco Support Community za dlhodobú vysokú úroveò spolupráce a podpory. V súèasnosti je titulom Designated VIP ocenených 24 sieových odborníkov, z toho len 7 v dvoch alebo viacerých sekciách. Za nominácie na tento titul vrátane definitívneho výberu ocenených expertov sú zodpovední zástupcovia spoloènosti Cisco. Pri výbere nominácií sa berú do úvahy najmä technické znalosti nominantov, poèet a kvalita ich príspevkov a ohlasy na ne.

Cisco Support Community je otvorené verejné komunitné fórum, na ktorom si jeho èlenovia vymieòajú profesionálne skúsenosti z oblasti komunikaèných sietí, riešia problémy a prehlbujú si svoje znalosti. Toto fórum patrí svojou kvalitou a úrovòou diskusií, ako aj nároènosou diskutovaných tém medzi najlepšie komunitné fóra svojho druhu.

New Version of Cisco Packet Tracer Now Available

We are pleased to announce the release of Cisco Packet Tracer version 5.3.3, a maintenance release that includes the following improvements: All outstanding issues reported through the Packet Tracer bug tracking software have been fixed. For your reference, the Packet Tracer bug report is accessible from the main tool bar of the Packet Tracer application via Help \| Report an Issue. A JavaScript API interface has been enabled for development of Packet Tracer activities by instructors. Documentation is included in the Packet Tracer Help files.

Announcing New Cisco Packet Tracer Requirement for PT Practice SBAs

Starting February 1, 2012, Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3.2 or above must be installed on your computer to complete a Packet Tracer Practice Skills Based Assessment (PT Practice SBA).

If you are not already using version 5.3.2 of Packet Tracer, please ensure that all student and lab computers have Packet Tracer 5.3.2 or above installed by February 1, 2012, prior to taking a PT Practice SBA. The exam environment checker will determine whether the necessary software is installed prior to launching the exam.

ACADEMY EVOLUTION HIGHLIGHTS

When will my Academy transition to the new model? By now we hope you've heard about Academy Evolution and the first part of the transition into the new business architecture. Many of you are probably anxious to learn more about your transition date and when you can expect your Academy to move into the new business architecture. Academies will transition based on either their location within a specific country or their affiliation with a specific CATC. The timeframes for each country or CATC have now been determined and you can view the transition schedule here in Club NetAcad. This schedule shows each country or CATC transitioning during a specific month. The actual transition from the current business architecture with CATCs, Regional Academies, and Local Academies into the new architecture with Cisco Academies, Instructor Training Centers, and Academy Support Centers will happen on a specific date during the indicated month. The Academy Evolution team will work with each local Academy team to determine the exact date for the transition. As a member at an Academy you should expect to participate in a virtual orientation session approximately three weeks prior to your transition date that will describe how your Academy will operate in the new business architecture. In most cases, these sessions will be delivered by your Area Academy Manager at Cisco.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINER QUALIFICATION: RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE

One of the new processes involved in the Academy Evolution transition is the Instructor Trainer Qualification (ITQ). The ITQ is a rigorous set of conditions that has been developed to ensure that Cisco Academy instructors receive the highest quality training. Though ITQ is working its way around the world and not every area has begun the process, during the past nine months 121 candidates have taken the face-to-face evaluation as the final step to becoming qualified instructor trainers. Congratulations to the following instructors who scored in the top 5% of all candidates:
