New certifications are here! On February 24, Cisco is enhancing the Cisco Certification program, including DevNet certifications, designed to prepare learners with the skills they need to unleash the full capabilities of the new network.
We encourage you to read these important updates related to Cybersecurity, CCNA, CCNP, and DevNet. Thank you for all that you do to support the successful transition to the new Cisco certifications.
Introducing the New CyberOps Associate Certification
As of February 24, 2020, the CCNA Cyber Ops certification is renamed to Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate certification to emphasize its focus on cybersecurity operations. In the coming months, Networking Academy will revise and rename the CCNA CyberOps course to CyberOps Associate, and this course will align to the Cisco CyberOps Associate certification. –- Read the full update
CCNA Security Update
As of February 24, the CCNA Security certification will no longer be available. Networking Academy will continue to offer the CCNA Security course focused on network security. In the coming months, the Networking Academy CCNA Security course will be revised and renamed to Network Security. – Read the full update

Because cyber operations play an increasingly critical role in the security strategy of organizations today, Cisco has announced a new certification track dedicated to developing cyber operations skills. For those working on CCNA Cyber Ops certification, keep them going. Students that finish before the new certification goes live, their CCNA Cyber Ops will automatically be updated to the new certification. More details will become available in the coming months.
V týchto dňoch sa v Prahe a Bratislave koná pravidelná technická konferencia Cisco Tech Club Days 2019, primárne zameraná na odbornú technickú komunitu. Konferencia je súčásťou vzdalávacieho programu Cisco Tech Club. a ponúka zaujímavé informácie o trendoch v oblasti a nových riešeniach Cisco.
Vstup je po registrácii zdarma, je možné sa pripojiť aj vzdialene cez Cisco Webex.

Spoločnosť Cisco Systems každoročne organizuje medzinárodnú pracovnú stáž s názvom Cisco International Internship Program (CIIP), pre študentov vysokých škôl, ktorí chcú rozšíriť svoje obzory v oblasti Informatiky, oboznámiť sa so životom a prácou v Silicon Valley a spoznať sa so študentmi z celého sveta. Vybraní stážisti budú pracovať v hlavnom sídle spoločnosti Cisco na reálnych projektoch spolu s inžiniermi, a tak nadobudnú užitočné pracovné a technické skúsenosti, ktoré im pomôžu lepšie sa uplatniť na pracovnom trhu.
Napriek tomu, že spoločnosť Cisco je známa hlavne sieťovými technológiami, stáž je určená pre všetkých študentov informatiky, počítačového inžinierstva aj manažmentu. Prihlásiť sa môžu študenti všetkých ročníkov bakalárskeho, inžinierskeho a doktorandského štúdia, teda aj študenti, ktorí sú momentálne v poslednom ročníku štúdia.
Keďže študenti budú počas celej stáže pracovať a bývať v San Jose, Kalifornia, USA, znalosť anglického jazyka je nutnosťou. Dĺžka trvania stáže je 1 rok v termíne August 2019 – Júl 2020.
Posledný termín podania prihlášky je 16.11.2018.
Stáže sa v predchádzajúcom ročníku zúčastnili aj dvaja študenti FRI, takže šanca získať stáž je reálna.
